Google has celebrated the 82nd birthday of late American zoologist Dian Fossey with a Doodle on its search page.
A US zoologist, Fossey studied gorillas living in the mountain forests of Rwanda, Africa, in great depth over a period of 18 years.

Gorillas in the Mist is a 1988 American drama film directed by Michael Apted and starring Sigourney Weaver as naturalist Dian Fossey. It tells the true-life story of her work in Rwanda with Mountain Gorillas.

After watching the “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” and surfing through web about the laboratory experiments with these sensitive and intelligent animals, I had to make a small effort on my website and put a few links that can raise an awareness of the primates and their suffering through medical experiments and bushmeat trade. Nearly 1000 chimpanzees still languish inside research laboratories in the United States!
